Our team partnered with Contempo Media and Nissan Canada for an exciting project, introducing the new Nissan Z through a series of engaging TikTok videos. Armed with a fleet of historical Nissan Z models and the creative canvas of our studios, we embarked on creating striking content for Sharp Magazine.

the Brief

Contempo Media, known for creating captivating branded content, sought a collaboration with us in their partnership project with Nissan Canada. The main objective was to produce a unique series of TikTok videos, embodying the distinctive essence of Sharp Magazine yet focusing on the alluring features of the new Nissan Z. We were provided with a fleet of Nissan Zs that represented each generation of the venerable iconic sports car. With access to a racetrack for capturing high-speed maneuvers and our studios for static shots, we had the elements to make the videos visually appealing. However, the main challenge was creating content that would not only appeal to the TikTok demographic but also seamlessly blend with Sharp's existing style guide. Every video had to be short, keeping within the TikTok format, but highly impactful and representative of Sharp's brand styling.

the SOLUTION

For the successful execution of this project, the cornerstones were flexibility and efficiency, which were achieved through keeping our production team small and quick on their feet. The project constraints of creating a series of videos within a tight timeline of just two days could have been complex, but careful planning made it manageable.

During the pre-production phase, we meticulously structured the project, scripted all the segments to ensure capturing all critical aspects of the car. Scripting also facilitated efficient tracking shoots, using time at the racetrack optimally, while in-studio shoots focused on static shots and exquisite details.

However, we recognized the importance of impromptu creativity in creating engaging content. To that end, we left enough flexibility in the plan for unexpected sparks of creativeness on set. Our agility combined with a well-laid-out strategic plan allowed us to overcome the challenges and execute a well-received TikTok series, highlighting the Nissan Z while representing the Sharp brand aptly.
